Audrey Liew was born in Singapore and has been based in Melbourne (Naarm), Australia since 2019. Her art is a profound expression of her personal experiences and ideas, brought to life through a combination of wheel thrown and hand-built forms. Audrey's work is a constant exploration and recombination of techniques and skills, mirroring her own adaptability as she learns to rebuild her life after relocating from Singapore.

Beyond being a creative outlet, ceramics hold a deep familial connection for Audrey. Her family in Singapore has been immersed in the ceramics trade for over four decades, and her upbringing was richly adorned with ceramic objects that now serve as an evocative backdrop to her work. Audrey's art is a rediscovery and extension of these memories, both conscious and subconscious, inviting viewers to reflect on their own past, the present moment, and the uncharted memories yet to be formed.
